For as long as I can remember, I have dreamt of going to space. To embark on my journey, I chose Aerospace Engineering as it opens up opportunities in both the space and aviation sectors.
During my studies, I have been involved in many activities on and around campus. I have been a student representative and student mentor at RMIT University; the President of RMIT's Aerospace Students Association (AESA); Chair at the Aerospace Industry Night (AIN) 2014, which had more than 500 engineering students attending from three different universities in Melbourne, Australia; the Melbourne Student Representative and Communication Manager at the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) (Melbourne); the Victorian State Representative for the Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA) and recently, the National Point of Contact for Mauritius at the United Nations' Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).
I also hold numerous awards such as the Boeing Achievement Award 2012, NASA Space Apps 2014 Galactic Problem Solver and International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) scholarship, where I was selected to go on an exchange program of one year to one of world's finest aerospace universities, TU Delft in The Netherlands.
Recently, I received the 'Northrop Grumman Global Externship Program' scholarship to do an internship at the Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre (AITC) in Mount Stromlo Observatory, Canberra, where I have been working with lead scientists and engineers on the conceptual design of CubeSat.
Life is a journey... not a destination. In the course of my journey in life, I have acquainted and built a strong network by meeting world famous personalities such as Physicist Walter Lewin, IBM Fellow John Cohn, eminent aerospace professors such as Professor James Hansen, astronauts, CEOs and Founders of various aerospace companies and organisations such as Dr Robert Zubrin,
I breathe in numbers. I play Mathematics and Physics. I have always loved numbers and the logic involved in solving problems. I believe in aerospace... .
Life, uh, finds a way... keep moving!
